Context/Observation

It is recommended as follows:
(i) The management of NDDC should explain why a State Government on-going construction road was chosen for this work without consent from the State Government.
(ii) The entire cost of the remedial of Okitipupa – Erinje road which in audit opinion is a complete waste to the government should be recovered from the State representative of Ondo State then and the Managing Director for non compliance with the financial regulation section aforementioned in the above paragraph.
Outcome should be communicated to the Office of the Auditor General for the Federation.
(iii) The cost of Ilutitun – Iditala road for which there was no evidence of the work done should be recovered from the contractor failing which the engineer’s that signed the certificate of work completion including the Director of PMS should be held responsible
