1. What is the Value for Money (VFM) platform?

The Value for Money platform, developed by Paradigm Leadership Support Initiative (PLSI), is a civic technology tool designed to empower citizens to participate in accountability efforts. It enables users to track public spending on government’s programs and projects, report cases of fiscal abuses and procurement irregularities and submit petitions to anti-corruption agencies at national and subnational levels in Nigeria.

2. What is new in Version 3.0 of the platform?

The upgraded version of the platform incorporates AI-enabled features that streamline petition submission, improve user experience, and automate citizen-government engagement. New capabilities, such as data protection policies and anonymous petitions related to service delivery and public finance management, are now automated. Petitions that once took weeks or even months to submit to anti-corruption agencies can now be completed in under five minutes using the enhanced “Value for Money” platform.

3. Who can use the VFM platform?

The platform is designed for all Nigerian citizens, civil society organizations, public sector actors, anti-corruption stakeholders and other users interested in improving governance and public service delivery in Nigeria.

Yes, users must create an account to access the platform’s full features, including submitting and tracking petitions. Anonymous petition submissions are available for users who do not wish their details to be displayed.

7. Is my personal information safe on the platform?

Yes, the platform complies with Nigeria’s Data Protection Law and implements strict security measures to protect user data.

Yes, the platform allows anonymous submissions, ensuring your identity remains confidential while still supporting the anti-corruption process.

You can report fiscal infractions, petitions regarding service delivery and public finance management and unresolved issues related to government projects and transactions.

The AI feature accelerates petition writing, submission, sorting, and tracking. It ensures that petitions are directed to the appropriate authorities and provides timely updates on their status.

Yes, you can log into your account to check real-time updates on the status of your petitions.
