It is recommended by the Auditor General for the Federation that:
(i) The total sum of N31,687,000.00 paid for work not done/executed should be recovered from the contractor in the first instance or failing which the Engineers /officers that sign the valuation certificate, IPCs and practical completion certificate should be made to repay.
(ii) The sum of N12,260,000.00 provide for in item 2.07 and 2.11 of the BEME that was observed to be a duplication of item 2.02 and 2.09 as stated in observation F should also be recovered from the Engineers that prepared and signed the valuation certificate & IPC together with the Executive Director Projects and Director PMS.
Evidence of the recovery should be forwarded to the Office of the Auditor General for the Federation for verification.
