Audit observed that:
i. The sum of 164,033,614.64 (One hundred and sixty four million, thirty three thousand, six hundred and fourteen naira, sixty four kobo) was disbursed through the Remita payment platform for the provision of sundry goods and services; and
ii. The Monthly Bank reconciliation Statement and Bank Statement relating to the above disbursement were not produced for examination.
The Permanent Secretary FMoE is requested to:
i. Produce the Monthly Bank Reconciliation statement relating to the disbursement of the sum of 164,033,614.64 (One hundred and sixty four million, thirty three thousand, six hundred and fourteen naira, sixty four kobo) to the Public Accounts Committees of the National Assembly; and
ii. Otherwise, apply sanctions relating to failure to prepare bank reconciliation statement in paragraph 3121 of the Financial Regulations.
