Non-Current Assets Register was not put in place despite the comment in the last Audit Inspection Report. The Register is for keeping proper records of the Non-Current Assets (Fixed or Tangible Assets) of the Cabinet and Special Services Dept. This made it practically impossible to ascertain and confirm both the numbers and locations of the Tangible Assets on ground and additions during the period under review. This is contrary to the Provision of Section 46020 of Ekiti State Financial Administration.
As a matter of urgency, a comprehensive Non-Current Asset Register must be put in place and all Non-Current Assets of the Office should be recorded into the Non-Current Asset Register which should be produced for Audit scrutiny.
