Context/Observation

A total sum of thirteen million, one hundred and thirty four thousand, seven hundred and twenty five naira (N13, 134,725) only was advanced to sundry staff of the Ministry and other persons/companies to facilitate the smooth running of government businesses and provision of public goods. It was observed in the audit that the payment vouchers lacked attachments in support of actual expenditures of the advances in a manner that promotes accountability and transparency in the management of public funds.
