It is recommended by the Auditor-General for the Federation that the unearned payment of N458,821,440.00 over and above the value of work done before the contract was completely abandoned/terminated should be recovered from the contractor failing which the bank that guarantee the unrecovered element of the23mobilization in respect of the contract should be held responsible and the contractor blacklisted with evidence of the recovery should be forwarded to my office for verification.
Also, the present status of mobilization bank bond in respect of the project and efforts made by the Management to recover excess payments from the contractor after abandoning the site should be forwarded to the Office of the Auditor-General for the Federation.
