I.The sum of N11,383,455.03 was deducted from payments for thirteen (13) transactions in 2018, and
II.There was no evidence to show the amount deducted was remitted to the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS).
The Rector is requested to:
i.Furnish reasons why taxes deducted from payments to contractors were not remitted to the Federal Inland Revenue Service.
ii.Remit the sum of N11,383,455.03 to the Federal Inland Revenue Service.
iii.Forward evidence of remittance to the Public Accounts Committees of the National Assembly.
iv. Otherwise, sanctions relating to fines and deduction from statutory allocation stated in paragraph 234(ii) & (iii) of the Financial Regulations will be applied.
