I.The sum of N250,099,250.00 was spent on procurement of various items through award of contracts and non-personal advances to staff.
II.The items procured were not taken on store ledger charge
III. Procurement process of some of the items was fraught with price inflation and non-compliance with due process of competitive bidding.
The Managing Director is requested to:
I.Provide reasons why items procured were not taken on store Ledger charge as required by extant regulations.
II.Account for the sum of N250,099,250.00
III.Remit the same sum to the Treasury.
IV.Forward evidence of remittance to the Public Accounts Committees of the National Assembly.
V.Otherwise, sanctions relating to irregular payment and gross misconduct specified in paragraphs 3106 and 3129 of the Financial Regulations respectively will apply.
