Context/Observation

It is recommended by the Auditor-General for the Federation that:
i. The outstanding retention of N6,865,005.00 due to this contractor should no longer be paid to him.

ii. The sum of N30,537,219.75 being the difference between the sum of N44,217,600.00 paid for work not done and the outstanding retention of N6,865,005.00 and unpaid items of N6,815,375.25 should be recovered from the contractor, failing which the amount should be recovered from the ED/Projects and the Director PMS together with all the other officers that signed the work valuation documents and interim payment certificates for this contractor to be paid.

Evidence of the recovery should be communicated to the office of the Auditor General for the Federation for verification.
