It was observed that the books of account of the Centre such as the cash book, asset register, and vote book, etc. were not properly maintained by the accounts department in line with the provision of the extant laws and regulations. This anomaly was due to the failure of the Executive Director/CEO to strictly comply with the provisions of extant laws especially as it relates to the maintenance of accounting records, which is very crucial to accountability and transparency in government financial transactions.
