Audit observed that 28 (Twenty-Eight) payment vouchers for the year 2016 in the sum of N11,590,950.00 and Eighteen (18) payment vouchers for the year 2017 totalling ₦10,431,654.58 were not presented for audit examination. Efforts to get management to present these vouchers vide management letter dated 11th December 2018 with Reference No.
OAuGF/EIAD&SD/FMARD/FCA/2018/7 yielded no response
The Provost is required to account for the 2016 and 2017 unpresented payment vouchers in the sum of ₦22,022,604.58, failing which sanctions as contained in FR 3106 should apply. Public Service Rules Section 030402 (b) which considers such action as “Serious acts of misconduct including suppression of records “should also apply
