It is recommended by the Auditor General for the Federation that
(i) The outstanding 5% retention of N84,601,376.50 due to this contractor should not be paid.
(ii) The sum of N196,682,200.00 paid for work not done as enumerated above should be recovered from the contractor failing which the ED/Projects, Dir/PMS together with all officers that signed the valuation certificate for this contractor should be made to refund same.
(iii) The sum of N29,335,886.62 overpaid to the contractor due to non deduction of VAT from the mobilization advance and fast tracking payment should be recovered from the contractor failing which the amount should be recovered from NDDC Director of Finance.
Evidence of the recovery of all these money should be forwarded to the Office of the Auditor General for the Federation for verification.
