Context/Observation

It is recommended by the Auditor General for the Federation that:
i.The outstanding retention sum of N2,834,600.00 due to the contractor should not be paid.
ii.The sum of N3,699,400.00 been the difference between the money paid for work not done and the outstanding retention (N6,534,000.00 – N2,834,600.00) should be recovered from the contractor failing which the Director PMS whose Directorate was responsible for the preparation and signing of the valuation and interim payment certificate should be made to refund same.
Evidence of the recovery should be forwarded to the office of the Auditor General for the Federation for verification.
