Project for the construction of 3.6KM earth road linking New Bra-Bra and Nyanya Housing estates were awarded at a total cost of N248,273,880.50 vide direct labour. Despite the payment made of 100% to the Ministry, it was observed that the actual project executed was 2.6KM NOT 3.6KM as contained in the bills of preliminary estimates.
Audit observed that the sum of N68,964,966.81 for the un-constructed 1KM earth road linking New Bra-Bra and Nyanya Housing estates road must be brought to account or alternatively be completed as contained in the bills of preliminary estimates. However, project specifications and design must be adhered to.
