The 2019 financial records of the board were not provided in audit upon request, and as were not audited during the audit exercise. Information gathered from the management was that the documents are still in the possession of the external auditor who audited their financial statements in the year 2020. Management did little or nothing to ensure that the records and documents were returned as they could not offer any cogent reason for their inability to do so.
The management of the board was then requested to prevail on the external auditors concerned to return all the financial records of the board in their custody and they are to be made available to the Auditor-General for audit.
