A total sum of N30,793,144.95 was purportedly paid to sundry contractors to carry out capital projects and professional services for the corporation during the period covered by the audit exercise.
The managing director is requested to:
i. Account for the sum involved with the objectives of establishing the appropriateness and competitiveness of the cost quoted.
ii. Recover 2.5% of the sum being tax liability on the amount paid to them as state development tax at 5% for WHT and VAT respectively totalling N3,849,143.12.
He was to forward to me all documented evidence of compliance to the above recommendations for confirmation.
