I.Payments amounting to N3,648,155.00 were made to some staff’s accounts instead of direct payments to the beneficiaries between 10 April, 2018 and 27 December, 2018
II.There were no documents to show acknowledgement by the supposed beneficiaries evidencing receipt of the funds from the officers concerned.
The Director-General is requested to:
I.Furnish reasons for not complying with the e-payment policy guidelines.
II.Account for the sum of N3,648,155.00
III.Forward evidence of remittance receipts by the rightful beneficiaries to the Public Accounts Committees of the National Assembly.
IV.Otherwise, sanctions relating to gross misconduct specified in paragraph 3129 of the Financial Regulations will apply.
