I.The sum of N2,550,000,000.00 was granted to Honourable members as running costs between July and December 2019 as disintegrated below:
1. North East – N187,000,000.00
2. South South – N272,000,000.00
3. South East – N442,000,000.00
4.North Central – N391,000,000.00
5. South West – N629,000,000.00
6. North West – N629,000,000.00
Total – 2,550,000,000.00
II.There was no evidence to show what the funds were used for
III.There were no retirement documents despite requests.
The Clerk to the National Assembly is requested to:
I. Furnish reasons why running costs granted to Honourable members were not retired.
II.Recover unretired running costs of N2,550,000,000 and remit to the Treasury.
III.Forward evidence of remittance to the Public Accounts Committees of the National Assembly
IV.Otherwise, sanctions relating to non-retirement of advances and imprest specified in paragraph 3124 of the Financial Regulations should apply.
