Audit observed that, some items of stores purchased in the sum of N21,563,850.00 between February and March 2018, were not taken on store charge. The payments for these items were not supported with store receipt vouchers as evidence of receipt into the store. In the absence of this, it is difficult to ascertain if those items were actually purchased and put to use.
The Managing Director is required to account for the stores items amounting to N21,563,850, otherwise he should recover the amount in question and remit same to the CRF. Sanctions within FR 3129 should apply.
