I.The sum of N1,594,807,097.83 was paid to revenue authorities between February and December 2019.
II.The above payment included Pay as You Earn (PAYE) from six (6) Honourable members, car loan recovery from five (5) Honourable members, and Housing Loan recovered from six (6) Honourable members for (N488,192,902.59, N401,201,998.92 and N705,412,193.32) respectively.
III.The payments were made without acknowledgment receipts from the relevant revenue authorities.
The Clerk to the National Assembly is requested to:
I.Furnish reasons for non-acknowledgement on Treasury Book 6 of Revenue collections from Pay as You Earn deductions, car and housing loan deductions amounting to N 1,594,807,097.83
II.Recover and refund to Treasury the sum of N1,594,807,097.83 with acknowledgement Treasury Book 6 as evidence.
III.Evidence of recovery and remittance should be forwarded to the Public Accounts Committees of the National Assembly
IV.Otherwise, sanctions contained in Financial Regulation 3112 on failure to collect and account for government revenue should apply.
