i.The sum of N22,219,889.06 was paid to some companies and the Institute’s members of staff as payments for purported services rendered to it.
ii.The above payments were effected through fourteen (14) payment vouchers
iii.The payment vouchers were without relevant supporting documents as required by extant regulations.
The Acting Executive Director is requested to:
I.Provide reasons why payments were made without relevant supporting documents attached to payment vouchers.
II.Recover and remit to the Treasury, the sum of N22,219,889.06
III.Forward evidence of remittance to the Public Accounts Committees of the National Assembly
IV.Otherwise, apply sanctions relating to irregular payments specified in paragraph 3106 of the Financial Regulations (2009).
