Audit observed that:
i.The sum of N46,512,368.75 (Forty-six million, five hundred and twelve thousand three hundred and sixty eighty-naira seventy-five kobo only) were paid by the College for various expenditure, and
ii.The above payments were made without raising Payment Vouchers as required by extant regulations.
The provost is required to:
I.Furnish reasons why payments were made without raising payment vouchers.
II.Account for N46,512,368.75 (Forty-six million, five hundred and twelve thousand three hundred and sixty eighty-naira seventy-five kobo only).
III.Recover and remit the sum of 46,512,368.75 (Forty-six million, five hundred and twelve thousand three hundred and sixty eighty-naira seventy-five kobo only) to the Treasury.
IV.Forward evidence of remittance to the Public Accounts Committees of the National Assembly, and
V.Otherwise, apply sanctions relating to irregular payment specified in paragraph 3106 of the Financial Regulations.
