I.The sum of N207,071,683.71 was paid to management staff of the Authority in 2017 as Management Overseas Vacation and Children Education Support Allowances
II.There was no evidence of approval from the National Wages, Incomes and Salaries Commission to justify the above payment.
The Managing Director is requested to:
I.Provide reasons why unapproved allowances were paid to staff.
II.Recover the sum of N207,071,683.71 from the beneficiaries and remit same to the Treasury.
III.Forward evidence of remittance to the Public Accounts Committees of the National Assembly
IV.Otherwise, sanctions relating to irregular payment and failure to manage public funds effectively stated in paragraphs 3106 and 3115 of in Financial Regulations respectively will apply.
