i.The Management of the Centre paid sitting allowance to staff who are member of the board, other committees and Head of Department monthly allowance which contravened the circular from National Salaries, Income and Wage Commission, and
ii. A total of 34 payment vouchers which amounted to N16,407,000.00 were raised and paid as sitting and monthly allowance to management board and head of departments.
The Chief Medical Director is requested to
I. Justify the reasons for these payments
II.Recover the sum of N16,407,000.00 involved and pay back to the Treasury
III.Forward evidence of remittance to the Public Accounts Committees of the National Assembly
IV. Otherwise, apply sanctions relating to overpayment of salaries and allowances in paragraph 3111 of the Financial Regulations.
