Context/Observation

Audit observed that:
i. The sum of 3,285,498.00 (Three million, two hundred and eighty-five thousand, four hundred and ninety-eight naira) and 3,630,026.00 (Three Million, Six Hundred and Thirty Thousand, Twenty-Six Naira) were generated from sale of government assets and tender fees respectively, and
ii. The entire 6,915,524.00 (Six million, nine hundred and fifteen thousand, five hundred and twenty-four naira) (=3,285,498.00 + 3,630,026.00 ) realized was not remitted to Consolidate Revenue Fund.

The Chief Medical Director is requested to
i. Furnish reasons why the entire revenue from auction was not remitted to CRF as required by extant regulations.
ii. Remit the sum of 6,915,524.00 (Six million, nine hundred and fifteen thousand, five hundred and twenty-four naira).
iii. Forward evidence of remittance to the Public Accounts Committees of the National Assembly, and
iv. Otherwise, apply sanctions relating to failure to collect and account for Government Revenue prescribed by paragraph 3112 of the Financial Regulations.
