I.A total of thirty-five (35) payment vouchers with payments amounting to N116,753,943.00 were made to contractors between 2018 and 2019 for capital expenditure
II.The above payments were not subjected to deduction of 1% stamp duty totalling N1,167,539.43.
The Registrar is requested to:
I.Furnish reasons why 1% Stamp Duty was not deducted from payments to contractors.
II.Recover the sum of N1,167,539.43 from the affected contractors and remit same to relevant tax authorities.
III.Forward evidence of remittance to the Public Accounts Committees of the National Assembly.
IV.Otherwise, sanctions relating to failure to collect and account for Government Revenue specified in paragraph 3112 of the Financial Regulations will be applied.
