1. The sum of N13,722,597,335.43 (Thirteen billion, seven hundred and twenty-two million, five hundred and ninety-seven thousand, three hundred- and thirty-five-naira, forty-three kobo) was paid to contractors/consultants for various contracts/consultancies,
2. The above payments were not subjected to Statutory 1% Stamp Duty deductions of N137,225,973.35 (One hundred and thirty-seven million, two hundred and twenty-five thousand, nine hundred- and seventy-three-naira, thirty-five kobo) as required by extant regulations.
1. Furnish reasons why 1% Stamp Duty was not deducted from payments to contractors/consultants.
2. Recover the sum of N137,225,973.35 from the affected Contractors/Consultants being 1% Stamp Duty and remit same to relevant tax authorities.
3. Forward evidence of remittance to the Public Accounts Committees of the National Assembly
4. Otherwise, apply sanctions relating to failure to collect and account for Government Revenue specified in paragraph 3112 of the Financial Regulations
