I.Rental income amounting to N137,495,323.34 remained un-collected from some Tenants of the Council as at the time of audit.
II.The above uncollected revenues were tagged as “unearned revenue” by the Council.
The Registrar is requested to:
I.Furnish reasons why rental income was not collected as required by extant regulations.
II.Recover the sum of N137,495,323.34 and remit same into the Consolidated Revenue Fund.
III.Also, Forward evidence of remittance to the Public Accounts Committees of the National Assembly.
IV.Otherwise, sanctions relating to failure to collect and account for Government Revenue specified in paragraph 3112 of the Financial Regulations will apply.
