I.The sum of N7,169,040.00 was paid to Veterinary Council of Nigeria Staff Multi-Purpose Cooperative Society Ltd as amount borrowed from the Cooperative Society.
II.Approval by the Minister and evidence of the borrowed sum were not provided to the audit for verification.
The Registrar is requested to:
I.Furnish reasons for the payment to Staff Multi-Purpose Cooperative Society Ltd.
II.Recover the sum of N7,169,040.00 from the Veterinary Council of Nigeria Staff Multi-Purpose Cooperative Society Ltd and remit same to the Treasury.
III.Forward evidence of remittance to the Public Accounts Committees of the National Assembly.
IV.Otherwise, sanctions relating to irregular payment specified in paragraph 3106 of the Financial Regulations will be applied.
