1. A contract was awarded to a company for the supply/installation of 33/11kv panel with sf6 breakers main power station at Lagos port complex at a Contract Sum ofN60,690,263.00 (Sixty million, six hundred and ninety thousand, two hundred and sixty-three naira) through award letter referenced HQ/GM/PROC/CON/C.11/14/301 of 7th August, 2014 with 9 months completion period,
2. A lump sum of N13,000,000.00 (Thirteen million naira) was embedded in the contract and paid for servicing of 2nos 33/11KV7.5MVA transformers without breakdown showing how the amount was utilized for that purpose.

Legislative Recommendation

1.Furnish reasons why lump sum was included in contract cost and paid for without breakdown.

3. Remit the sum of N13,000,000.00 to the Treasury.
4.Forward evidence of remittance to the Public Accounts Committees of the National Assembly, and
5.Otherwise, apply sanctions relating to irregular payment stated in paragraph 3106 of the Financial Regulations.
