Audit observed that the sum of N28,524,000.00 was paid as legal services fees to external solicitors without the approval of the Attorney General of the Federation.
The Managing Director is requested to:
I. Recover and pay back to the Treasury the sum of N28,524,000.00 spent on legal services without the consent of the Attorney-General of the Federation and forward evidence of recovery to the Public Accounts Committees of the National Assembly
II.Otherwise, sanctions relating to gross misconduct in paragraph 3129 of the Financial Regulations will apply.
