Context/Observation

It is recommended by the Auditor General for the Federation that:
i. The contractor should be compelled to go back to site for the repair and maintenance of all the malfunctioning solar power street lights and those that are not working at all.
ii. The sum of N48,372,093.02 paid for the 26 Nos. solar powered street lights not supplied at all should be recovered from the contractor in the first instance, failing which the MD/CEO of NDDC together with Director PMS whose directorate signed the valuation certificate form and interim payment certificates for this contractor to be paid should be made to refund the money back to the covers of NDDC. Evidence of the recovery should be forwarded to the Office of the Auditor General for the Federation for verification.
