I.The sum of N76,425,000.00 only was granted as imprests to some members of staff of the Authority between January and December 2018.
II.The advances granted remained unretired as at the time of audit exercise in July 2019, and
III. Some of these officers were granted multiple advances when the previous ones had not been retired.
The Managing Director is requested to:
I.Provide reasons why advances granted to staff were not retired as required by extant regulations.
II.Recover the sum of N76,425,000.00
III.Remit the same sum to the Treasury. Forward evidence of remittance to the Public Accounts Committees of the National Assembly.
IV.Otherwise, apply sanctions relating to non-retirement of advances and imprest specified by paragraph 3124 of the Financial Regulations.
