i.The company paid the sum of N112,337,422.06 to external solicitors between 2016 and 2019
ii. There was no document/record indicating due process in engagement of the legal Practitioners.
iii. Evidence of prior approval of the Attorney-General of the Federation was not presented for audit.
The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer is requested to:
i.Justify the sum N112,337,422.06 expended on the engagement of external solicitors without prior approval of the Attorney-General of the Federation
ii. Otherwise, sanctions relating to irregular or wrong payment in Financial Regulations 3106 will apply.
