i.The proceed from revenue collected for the month of March 2019, amounting to N20,405,690.41 was not remitted, but instead, diverted for personal use.
ii.The report stated that Electronic Management Records (EMR) reported March 2019 total revenue to N40,377,265.16, while receipts are N20,405,609.41 This was reported on pages 30-34 of Internal Audit report of March 2019
iii.The EMR statements (Account statements of the revenue collectors) from the Centre wasn’t made available as at the time of this audit in February, 2021 despite repeated request.
The Chief Medical Director is requested to:
I. Furnish reasons why the sum of N20,405,690.41 was diverted into private pockets under his watch.
II.Recover the sum of N20,405,609.41 from the revenue collection agent and remit same to the Treasury, forwarding evidence of remittance to the Public Accounts Committees of the National Assembly, and
III.Otherwise, apply sanctions relating to failure to account for government revenue in
