I.The sum of N107,912,962.45 was granted to 2 staff for repairs and maintenance of unspecified residential quarters.
II.The advances granted were in excess of the cash advances threshold of N200,000.00 as stipulated by extant regulations.
III.The Federal Government was deprived of the statutory VAT and WHT of N10,791,296 accruable if the work had been awarded to contractors
IV.There was no evidence to show the advances were retired.
The Clerk to the National Assembly is requested to:
I.Justify the granting of advances in excess of the cash advance threshold of N200,000.00 as stipulated by extant laws.
II.Account for the sum of N107,912,962.45 advances granted for unspecified purposes.
III.Recover and refund to Treasury, the sum of N107,912,962.45.
IV.Forward evidence of remittance to the Public Accounts Committees of the National Assembly
V.Otherwise, sanctions relating non-retirement of advances and imprest specified in paragraph 3124 of the Financial Regulations should apply.
