Audit observed that a total of N5,812,637.50 was paid to four “contractors” in the period under review, for services rendered to the Council. Further scrutiny however, revealed that those entities were not qualified to be awarded contracts by any government body as they were not registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission.
The Registrar is required to justify the payment of the sum of N5,812,637.50 to nonexistent entities and sanctions in line with FR 3106 should apply.
