Following the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, Akwa-Ibom State generated the sum of N6.2bn as total revenue through donations from the Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN), Development partners, private organizations and individuals. From the N6.2bn generated, N3bn was expended on current expenditure while N3.2bn was spent on capital expenditure.
